Owl City Makes Almost-Homecoming Stop at Roy Wilkins

The native Minnesotan, Adam Young, and his sweet disposition won over fans during a concert at Roy Wilkins Auditorium on the last weekend in July.
Owl City creator/frontman Adam Young made a tour spot for the sophomore album "All Things Bright & Beautiful" and fans were not disappointed as the singer, made famous for his No. 1 hit "Fireflies," had an impressive show.
The Owl citizens continued changing instruments from song-to-song, the violinist playing bass and the guitarist hitting vibraphons to Young sitting behind a drum kit. The change was appealing to fans and Young found major support from his Minnesota fans.
Thank you to the fans who purchase tickets to Owl City at Roy Wilkins auditorium -- it was so great to see all of you at the show supporting local talent.

Owl City to be a part of the Alice and Wonderland remake soundtrack

Feelings are mixed on movie soundtracks, some artists say that it is selling out, others say it is how you know you have officially arrived. Music fans know that having their favorite band on a movie soundtrack is a sure fire way to get them to buy it... no matter how you see it, having Tim Burton put a musician on one of his soundtracks is HUGE. Adam Young of Owl City has either sold out, officially made it, convinced his fans to buy the Alice Soundtrack or a little of all of it because it was recently announced that the Owl City Song The Technicolor Phase will be a part of Almost Alice a soundtrack of songs inspired by Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.
This is the first time an Owl City song has been featured on a soundtrack. Owl City fans are extremely excited to see Adam Young get a nod from such a famed director. Fan YouTube videos of the Owl City Alice in Wonderland Song are already up all over the internet. Disney Soundtrack Fan released this YouTube video of Technicolor Phase the Owl City Song on the Almost Alice Soundtrack.

Twin Cities Jingle Ball Huge Success

Last night Owl City featuring frontman Adam Young put on a stellar show at the Twin Cities Jinlge Ball concert event at the Xcel Energy Center. All of the local and supportive Minnesota fans made the Twin Cities Jingle Ball event even more special for Owl City.
Adam Young arrived on stage dressed in black and white and fully entertained the 14,000 plus fans...mostly young screaming girls that were totally enamored by Adam Young and the Owl City phenomenon. Fireflies was amazing and the other songs in the set list were memorable as well. If you missed this chance to see Owl City, don't pass it up again. Owl City puts on a great live show!

20 years ago a band had to wait for its big break, for someone who was a "someone" to hear them and pull them out of obscurity and into the spotlight. However with the advent of the internet, like most other things, this discovery of an artist changed. Now, fans of a band can force people into hearing a band. Music is streamed online faster than most people can order lunch. Owl City is no excpetion, and in fact it has almost become the rule. Adam Young started the Owl City project in 2007 on MySpace hoping to get noticed. Now fans have taken him off of the dark horse of social media and brought him into the the light, You Tube. Adam Young's Owl City fans are creating mass media buzz by directing and staring in their own videos for his work. Seems like a good idea right? 10 years ago artists were spending 100's of 1,000's on making and filming music videos... Adam Young is having people do it for him.
